Safe Schools

Hotline Introduction

The Claremont Unified School District provides a Safety Hotline (909.398.0664) for the purpose of reporting any concern which may jeopardize the safety of any staff member or student. Additionally, as a service to adolescents and their families, the Claremont Youth Partnership provides a list of telephone numbers to provide assistance in areas such as:

• Crisis Help Line
• Claremont Hate Crimes
• District Safety Hotline
• Drug Help Line
• Suicide Help Line

Most of these numbers are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Otherwise, a recording will answer with helpful information. To access this list on the Web go to the following URL:

Scenario

A student is contemplating suicide and calls the Suicide Help Line. A person answers and provides appropriate assistance in an effort to prevent the suicide attempt.
